First impressions

Not bad so far after the first few days of use. We'll see how it does over time. Not sure if it's a common thing, but mine did not come with an instructional manual. It's easy to find instructions online, and if you've built a chair before, you can build this one no problem. The seat (for me at least) runs a bit warm after a bit of use, but I fully expected this since my old basic office chair was full mesh, and any chair will be warmer than a mesh one. Most importantly, the wheels are hot garbage. I wouldn't even waste your time opening the package the wheels come in and trying them out just to see how bad they are. Trust me: throw them right in the trash. It's actually quite impressive how Corsair managed to bungle them so badly. Do yourself a favor and get a good set of roller blade style wheels if you don't already have them, or even a set (if they sell them separately) from Secretlab. Their stock wheels are pretty decent.

Looks great, but not $550-chair comfortable

I really wanted to love this chair. Aesthetically, it’s fantastic. The clean design is gorgeous and the fabric feels premium, soft, breathable, and pleasant to the touch. The magnetic head pillow is a clever little touch too, though if you tilt the chair forward too quickly, it will literally pop off and go flying.Unfortunately, the comfort just isn’t there. The seat and backrest are extremely firm and unforgiving if, like me, you shift positions a lot like leaning back to think, folding a leg under, or resting on one elbow. The adjustable lumbar support is finicky and never quite lands in the right spot. And the tilt mechanism only locks; there’s no smooth, dynamic recline so when you do lean back you end up wedging yourself into a hard L-shaped chair. If you're a ballet instructor or finishing-school graduate with perfect posture, this might be the chair for you. But after only two days my lower back was killing me. For a $500 “Luxe” gaming chair, I expected far more comfort.I honestly think if this chair had a proper recline instead of a locking tilt, it would be pretty great.

A Great Chair…. Almost

First I want to start off by saying I really wanted to love this chair so badly! I was so excited to buy this and get it into my office setup, but it really fell short of expectations. The 3 star rating is for the $550 price point - I was able to get it on a considerable sale, so for the price of about $300 it’s more worth it and would give it 4 stars but I cannot recommend this chair at full price.Cons:- My office does get warm with my gaming computer and this chair absolutely gets hot after sitting for a couple hours compared to my old mesh one, not sweaty but uncomfortable.- The back has awful padding. The lower portion with the adjustable lumbar feels like a rock pushing into your back if you actually use it so I have to keep it almost all the way depressed. Then right where it transitions from the diamond stitching to the flat part where the wings are, it’s like there’s a metal rod going across (likely the top of the adjustable lumbar thing) but man it’s really not comfortable to lean back into or use that fully reclined position. So overall the lower back is really hard, then there’s this middle that’s extremely plush, and then at the top middle back below your shoulder blades it’s hard as a rock so it’s unfortunate. Not as comfy as most good reviews make it out to be but it’s also not unbearable just being picky due to price point.- It squeaks!!! I was hoping a few of these reviews were just a couple bad batches but nope. Same thing others have said, right where the metal hinge is on the left side, if your sitting and using the rocking feature it creaks and squeaks every time you rock. Thats something that was just fully unacceptable for a chair at this price.- The hip bolstering really digs into the sides of my legs if man spreading and hurts after a while.- Overall the chair just doesn’t seem too sturdy/stable on the base. It has a fair amount of play when moving around but again not the end of the world it’s still fairly solid.Pros:- The bottom cushion is actually really comfortable for me sitting in it all day long even though it’s more on the firm side. It’s also big so even at 6’2 with all height in my legs I can kick a leg up.- While the backing is annoyingly uneven, I think it promotes much better posture than my other chair.- It looks just so good!! and it is definitely made out of good premium materials, I do see this chair lasting a long time!- Building it took maybe 15 minutes and you really don’t need any instruction, it’s common sense for anyone who’s ever put something together.- The pillow is so comfy!- While the wheels are stiff, and the chair is heavy I was worried about how it rolled on carpet but man it’s a breeze! It rolls really well around the room on carpet.- For the most part it’s a chair that I can sit in all day and it’s comfortable. The backing is borderline making me want to return it, but I got a great discount so I’m sticking with it.- Oh and the arm rests! At 6’2 I have longer arms but what… they are perfect for me. They aren’t too far forward or too far back at all. That’s why they have the 180 design if you want to get closer to your desk just flip them around and scoot up!Overall, again don’t buy this chair at full price you’ll likely be disappointed as the creaking and the back padding are my biggest complaints. If you can get 40%+ off it’s more worth it but be warned if you’re looking into something that’s plushy. It’s very firm. But it’s really pretty to look at!

amazing!

Absolutely love this chair! It's a little stiff but I feel like any chair brand new would be stiff and the other complaints that I've seen about the armrest being too far. I almost agreed with until I realized that they can rotate 180° and then extend towards the back of the chair and now they're perfect. I can't speak for the wheels since I never used them because I got rollerblade wheels since I use it on carpet.
